HELLO.

I'm Dave – look, there's a photo of my head and part of my body there that I've put up like some terrible narcissist. Sorry about that.

I'm a writer from Northern Ireland and have written for stage, screen and the printed page (or tablet/computer screen, if you're modern). I write for both children and adults, and some of my work has been broadcast around the world in languages I don't even speak, which means I finally have an excuse for not understanding a word I've written either.

I graduated from Queen's University Belfast with a Masters in Creative Writing, and have worked on various projects including Joe & Jack, an animated show for pre-schoolers which has been broadcast on RTÉ in Ireland and in various other countries; DEATH (on a shoestring), a musical comedy play which was performed in the Baby Grand at the Grand Opera House Belfast as part of the Ulster Bank Belfast Festival at Queen's in 2012; Intervention, a dark comedic play performed at the MAC, Belfast as part of the Pick 'n' Mix Theatre Festival in 2012; and Happy as Larry, a short film about the happiest man in the world. I have also worked with Tinderbox Theatre Company and was part of the writing team for Swing State Cabaret, a night of satire and song to coincide with the 2012 US Presidential Election.

This is my website. A website seemed like something I should do.

I've been wrong before.
